In order to enhance students' motivation in learning, the teachers are required to innovate learning in which teachers become part of a system that promotes innovation. And to realize the innovation, there are several concepts that need to be understood by a teacher, namely an understanding of:

a.       scientific nature of each field,b

b.      nature of the subject students, and changing attitudes, and

c.        implementation associated with the paradigm shift.

The paradigm shift that needs to be realized by a teacher of the learning paradigm shift from "traditional learning" to "progressive learning", for example, a model teacher-centered learning where students are passive, turned into a model student-centered learning and the student who plays an active role, etc. By realizing these learning paradigm shift, is expected to improve the spirit of students in learning.

State University of Yogyakarta, towards an international university is a program that gets full support from all components and civitas academic organizations. The programs are conducted to date has been to realize UNY towards World Class University of realizing international standard of excellence in the field of Teaching and Education Programs, Research and Publication, as well as the Organization and Management Education, for example, with lectures held in English, at least one eye lectures in each study program, and other programs that can improve English language skills of students and lecturers, or any self-improvement programs, quality, excellence and leadership, has been quite satisfactory. Nevertheless, there it is no less important to be taken at this time is to build networking with universities and research centers around the world, so what has been generated by community UNY both academic study and research of various fields of science fostered by UNY can be beneficial to entire world community.

With optimism and hard work in promoting and developing these programs, inshaAllah UNY able to produce high quality graduates who excel in the competitive global world and be able to make UNY as international universities.
